What is involved 
  • Anaesthetic drops are placed in the eyes
  • You lie comfortably on the laser bed, positioned under the microscope
  • A thin corneal flap is created
  • Laser is on for 15-60 seconds for the treatment.
  • You are transferred to a rest area for half and hour or so
  • You can go home after treatment and assessment

Follow ups
  • This is a day procedure, so you do not need any admission to the LASIK Centre.
  • You are seen the next day and again one week later to ensure a complication-free recovery.
  • Thereafter, most patients may be requested to return months later for another check at the discretion of the treating surgeon.

Results In a recent US Clinical study:
  • 100% of treated patients have improved unaided vision
  • 95% have 20/40 vision or better, without glasses
  • 60-80% have 20/20 vision or better, without glasses
